DeLand, Florida
has lots of special events throughout the year, including a weekly Farmers Market each Wednesday morning, held at the Volusia County Fairgrounds, east of the city. Other ongoing events include special recitals held at Stetson College and “Music in the Courtyard” held in the summer months at the City Hall Courtyard. The following list is for special events held during the months of July, August and September. In October, DeLand celebrates with the DeLand Original Music Festival and Monsters on Main Street. The DeLand Fall Festival of the Arts is an annual event, usually held in November. DeLeon Springs: A Day in Florida History of DeLeon Springs

Highlighting this exciting day is a re-enactment of a skirmish between soldiers' and settlers of the early 1800's and Seminole Indians, complete with actual weapons of the period. Also, explore an authentic Indian village and soldier's encampment, examine Indian artifacts, old rifles and weapons, artisans and join in the performance of Indian dances.

A fundraiser for the restoration of the Historic Athen's Theater.
